Welcome to my website. Here you will find information about me and my writing, as well as a selection of my poetry.

I have published one collection of poetry and a verse novel. You can read a selection of poems from Obeying the Call and reviews of the book. My verse novel The Barrier Range was published by Flat Chat Press in July 2006 and reprinted in 2007.

You can also read some of my more recent poetry, specifically a suite of poems The Divorce Papers.

The Barrier Range is a verse novel which tells the story one man’s journey into the interior of Australia to find his dying uncle in Broken Hill. The book draws on the exploits of 19th century explorers Charles Sturt, who discovered the Barrier Ranges (where Broken Hill is located) on his search for an inland sea, and Burke and Wills who passed near Broken Hill on their ill-fated trip through the desert to the Gulf of Carpentaria. You can read praise for The Barrier Range and read excerpts.

I am currently working on a third manuscript about the life and work of dead poets. You can read two of these portrait poems.
